INCT-CERBC - Conservation and Exploitation of Biological Resources In Networked Collections

INCT-CERBC aims to preserve and explore the biotechnological potential of microorganisms (fungal and bacteria) and parasites of clinical and environmental origin that comprise Brazilian biodiversity, as well as those from the collections of other countries through the international institutions associated with this proposal. The institute will exploit the potential of autochthonous isolates, types and reference strains, plasmid collections, mammalian cell cultures and biological databases, including DNA and RNA, to expand the databases and make information available on the biodiversity of the collections.
